Το μεγαλύτερο φεστιβάλ της doom / sludge / post rock-metal αλλά και stoner / psych / space / heavy / blues rock (και όχι μόνο) σκηνής στην Ελλάδα είναι γεγονός !!!

Η τρίτη του έκδοση, το Post-mortem edition, σπάει τα όρια και ξεπερνά κάθε προηγούμενο, περιλαμβάνοντας ένα ισοπεδωτικό διήμερο-βόμβα : Το Σάββατο 5 και την Κυριακή 6 Νοέμβρη, οι Russian Circles και οι Cult Of Luna με τη Julie Christmas αντίστοιχα, θα εμφανιστούν στην Ιερά Οδό σε μια μουσική συνάντηση-σταθμό για τα διεθνή συναυλιακά δεδομένα !!

Σάββατο 5 Νοεμβρίου : Η μεγαλύτερη και πιο σημαντική instrumental post rock μπάντα των καιρών μας, οι τεράστιοι Russian Circles, με αφορμή το νέο τους album "Guidance", η επίσημη κυκλοφορία του οποίου αναμένεται στις 5 Αυγούστου, επιστρέφουν μεγαλοπρεπώς στο, ομολογουμένως, μεγαλύτερο και πιο φανατικό κοινό τους !

Κυριακή 6 Νοεμβρίου : Η μεγαλύτερη ευρωπαϊκή μπάντα του σύγχρονου ατμοσφαιρικού progressive/sludge/post metal, οι θρυλικοί Cult of Luna, με την κορυφαία ερμηνεύτρια του ήχου και former lead singer των θρυλικών Made Out of Babies και Battle of Mice, την τεράστια Julie Christmas, σε μία σαρωτική συνύπαρξη άνευ προηγουμένου, παρουσιάζουν ζωντανά την πρόσφατη δισκογραφική τους συνεργασία-αριστούργημα “Mariner”, που απέσπασε διεθνώς αποθεωτικά σχόλια από κοινό και κριτικούς και χαρακτηρίστηκε από πολλούς ως ο καλύτερος δίσκος του ήχου των τελευταίων χρόνων !!!

Η Smoke the Fuzz πρωτοπορεί, συγκεντρώνοντας τεράστια διεθνή ονόματα του heavy χώρου σε μία σκηνή, δημιουργώντας έτσι το πρώτο και μεγαλύτερο indoor festival αποκλειστικά για τους λάτρεις των doom/stoner/sludge/psych/space/blues/post ήχων στη χώρα μας! Τρία διαφορετικά editions σε τρεις διαφορετικές ημερομηνίες καταρτίστηκαν με γνώμονα το ύφος των μπαντών, έτσι ώστε κάθε μέρα να αποτελεί έναν πρωτόγνωρο για τα ελληνικά δεδομένα μουσικό μαραθώνιο που θα ικανοποιεί τις επιθυμίες των οπαδών κάθενός από τα αγαπημένα μας μουσικά είδη. Πρόκειται για ένα μόρφωμα ξεχωριστό στη σύλληψη και την ταυτότητά του, καθώς το lineup κάθε ημέρας είναι παγκοσμίως μοναδικό, δεν ακολουθεί κάποιο συγκεκριμένο tour, ούτε αποτελεί προέκταση ή αντιγραφή κάποιου άλλου διεθνούς festival. Τα συγκροτήματα επιλέχθηκαν ένα προς ένα και μάλιστα πολλά ως one-offs, ακόμα και από την άλλη άκρη του Ατλαντικού! To Smoke the Fuzz Fest έχει όλο το πακέτο: Μπάντες απωθημένα του ελληνικού κοινού εδώ και χρόνια (Bongzilla, Sons of Otis, Causa Sui, Electric Moon), μπάντες με τις οποίες ήδη έχουμε χτίσει μια αμίμητη σχέση αγάπης (Yob, Earthless, Dopethrone, All Them Witches, Suma, Siena Root, Black Cobra), επιλεκτικές special εμφανίσεις (Cult of Luna feat. Julie Christmas) και μπάντες που αποτελούν τις μεγαλύτερες «ελπίδες» του heavy underground (Yuri Gagarin, Love Sex Machine). Προκαλώντας, άμα τη ανακοινώσει, ένα σαρωτικό κύμα ενθουσιωδών αντιδράσεων σε όλη την Ευρώπη (και όχι μόνο) και τραβώντας ήδη έμπρακτα το ενδιαφέρον τεράστιου αριθμού οπαδών τόσο από ολόκληρη την Ελλάδα όσο και από το εξωτερικό, είναι προφανές πως μιλάμε για τιτάνια προσπάθεια της Smoke the Fuzz, ένα μουσικό εγχείρημα που βγάζει την Ελλάδα από το περιθώριο και την τοποθετεί στο επίκεντρο του φεστιβαλικού χάρτη της Ευρώπης. Μία συγκλονιστική μουσική «Λερναία Ύδρα» με τρία κεφάλια, ένα μοναδικό festival για ένα μοναδικό κοινό και αναμφισβήτητα, μια πολιτισμική εμπειρία από την οποία δεν πρέπει να λείπει κανείς.

Its third edition, “Post-mortem edition”, will take place on Saturday and Sunday 5-6 November 2016 at Iera Odos (Athens, Greece) and includes an impressive lineup of some of the greatest bands of the post rock/metal scene worldwide :

An unprecedented symbiosis of post grandeur on the stage of Iera Odos, weaved out of the dreams of the Greek fans of this scene.

Smoke The Fuzz is breaking ground with the gathering of huge international bands of the heavy sound under one stage, thus creating the first ever festival in Greece that exclusively addresses to enthusiasts of doom/post/stoner/sludge/psychedelic/space/blues sounds! Three different editions on three different days were designed in accordance to the style of the bands included, thus rendering each day an unprecedented for Greek standards music marathon that will satisfy the wishes of the fans of each and every one of our favorite genres and subgenres. Smoke The Fuzz Fest is entirely special in its conception and identity, since the line-up of each day is globally unique, it does not follow a particular and is certainly not an extension or a copy of any other pre-existing international festival. All the bands were picked one by one, many of them flying as one-offs from the other side of the Atlantic! Without a shadow of a doubt, the first Smoke The Fuzz Fest is the greatest festival in the history of Greek concert standards that concern the heavy scene. It includes 17 artists from abroad, many of which would qualify as a surprise to watch on a stand-alone headlining concert in our country, let alone seeing them sharing the stage all together with other acclaimed and up and coming artists of our favorite scene. Smoke The Fuzz Fest really does have the whole package: It includes bands that the Greek audience had been yearning to see for many years now (Bongzilla, Sons of Otis, Causa Sui, Electric Moon), bands with whom we’ve already established an unmatched bond of love (Yob, Earthless, Dopethrone, All Them Witches, Russian Circles, Suma, Siena Root, Black Cobra), selective special appearances (Cult Of Luna feat. Julie Christmas), and bands that qualify as some of the greatest up and coming talents of the heavy underground (Yuri Gagarin, Love Sex Machine). Responses for this one of a kind lineup were extended on a global scale, both in the media world and the fans of this sound themselves. With the announcement of the line-ups, people from all over the world obtained airplane and festival tickets so they can be a part of the triple ceremony of Smoke The Fuzz Fest. Since it is already receiving the practical interest of fans from abroad, it is obvious that this is a gigantic effort of Smoke The Fuzz, a musical initiative that drags Greece away from the background and places it the center of the maps of European festivals. We can now be proud of having our own festival of international standards. It is time to sow the seeds from an unprecedented trip, with an equally unprecedented -for our country- line up. A breathtaking musical Hydra with three heads, a unique festival for a unique audience and undoubtedly, a cultural experience no one should miss.
