Με αφορμή την επερχόμενη ευρωπαϊκή περιοδεία των In Dakhma για το 2026, το RockOverdose μίλησε με τον Vedran για τα πρώτα μεγάλα βήματα της μπάντας εκτός συνόρων, τη σύγχρονη death metal σκηνή, τις προκλήσεις της μουσικής βιομηχανίας, αλλά και το νέο, πιο ακραίο και πειραματικό υλικό που ετοιμάζουν.
Μέσα από τη συζήτηση, οι In Dakhma αποκαλύπτουν τον ενθουσιασμό τους για τις συναυλίες σε Ουγγαρία, Ρουμανία, Βουλγαρία και Σλοβακία, μιλούν για τη φιλοσοφία τους στις live εμφανίσεις και δίνουν μια πρώτη γεύση από όσα έρχονται στο μέλλον της μπάντας.
RockOverdose: Ετοιμάζεστε να βγείτε στον δρόμο για την περιοδεία του 2026 — τι είναι αυτό που σας ενθουσιάζει περισσότερο σε αυτές τις εμφανίσεις;
In Dakhma: Το γεγονός ότι έχουμε την τύχη να παίξουμε εκτός της πατρίδας μας, σε χώρες όπως η Ουγγαρία, η Ρουμανία, η Βουλγαρία και η Σλοβακία, και να εκπροσωπήσουμε τη metal σκηνή μας μαζί με τους φίλους μας από τους Emberam, είναι μεγάλη τιμή για εμάς και ένα όνειρο που γίνεται πραγματικότητα.
RockOverdose: Υπάρχουν πόλεις σε αυτή την περιοδεία που ανυπομονείτε ιδιαίτερα να επισκεφθείτε;
In Dakhma: Ειλικρινά, όλες είναι υπέροχες και αυτή είναι η πρώτη ολοκληρωμένη περιοδεία των In Dakhma, οπότε ανυπομονούμε. Από το S8 στη Βουδαπέστη μέχρι το Varna Live Club και το Colosseum Club στην Κόσιτσε, θα είναι ένα τρελό ταξίδι!
RockOverdose: Πώς θα περιγράφατε τη live εμφάνισή σας σε κάποιον που δεν σας έχει δει ποτέ;
In Dakhma: Ωμή και άγρια! Είμαστε old-school όσον αφορά το live παίξιμο — χωρίς triggers, χωρίς μετρονόμο. Ο κόσμος μάς έχει πει ότι έχουμε τεράστιο ήχο και εντυπωσιακή σκηνική παρουσία, οπότε… αυτό είναι!
RockOverdose: Ποια ήταν η μεγαλύτερη πρόκληση για το συγκρότημα τα τελευταία χρόνια;
In Dakhma: Η μεγαλύτερη πρόκληση στη μουσική βιομηχανία ήταν το marketing. Το να καταλάβεις πώς θα σε προσέξουν, πώς θα προωθήσεις τον εαυτό σου και πώς θα βρεις live εμφανίσεις μπορεί να είναι πολύ δύσκολο. Πολλοί παραβλέπουν αυτή την πλευρά, επειδή μεγαλώνουμε πιστεύοντας ότι το σημαντικότερο είναι να γράψεις το καλύτερο τραγούδι. Και ενώ η σύνθεση είναι σημαντική, είναι μόνο ένα κομμάτι του να είσαι σε μια μπάντα.
RockOverdose: Πώς πιστεύετε ότι έχει αλλάξει η death metal σκηνή από τότε που ξεκινήσατε;
In Dakhma: Η death metal σκηνή συνεχίζει να εξελίσσεται, διακλαδώνεται σε άλλα metal είδη αλλά και σε ευρύτερα μουσικά στυλ. Σχεδόν κάθε χρόνο εμφανίζονται δύο ή τρεις νέες μπάντες που πηγαίνουν το είδος σε νέα επίπεδα δημιουργικότητας ή βιαιότητας. Για εμάς, αυτή η εξέλιξη είναι το πιο σημαντικό στοιχείο — το να μένεις ίδιος ή να παίζεις εκ του ασφαλούς δεν έχει ιδιαίτερο νόημα στη μεγάλη εικόνα.
RockOverdose: Τι μπορούν να περιμένουν οι fans από το setlist αυτής της περιοδείας — θα υπάρχουν εκπλήξεις;
In Dakhma: Σίγουρα θα υπάρχουν κάποιες εκπλήξεις… αλλά δεν μπορούμε να αποκαλύψουμε περισσότερα χαχαχα. Ελάτε στο live και θα δείτε!
RockOverdose: Προτιμάτε μικρούς underground χώρους ή μεγάλες festival σκηνές;
In Dakhma: Προτιμάμε τους μικρούς underground χώρους, γιατί νιώθουμε ότι μπορούμε να συνδεθούμε πιο προσωπικά με το κοινό.
RockOverdose: Πώς παραμένετε δημιουργικοί και αποφεύγετε να επαναλαμβάνεστε ως μπάντα;
In Dakhma: Βρίσκουμε πολλές ιδέες, επιλέγουμε τις καλύτερες και στη συνέχεια προσπαθούμε να τις εξελίξουμε προς νέες κατευθύνσεις.
RockOverdose: Δουλεύετε αυτή την περίοδο πάνω σε νέο υλικό;
In Dakhma: Ναι, δουλεύουμε. Θα αρχίσουμε να δίνουμε teasers μέσα στην επόμενη χρονιά, πιθανότατα θα κυκλοφορήσει και κάποιο υλικό, και είμαστε πραγματικά ενθουσιασμένοι γι’ αυτό.
RockOverdose: Αν ναι, προς ποια κατεύθυνση κινείται;
In Dakhma: Το νέο μας υλικό κινείται προς μια πιο δημιουργική και πειραματική κατεύθυνση, ενώ ταυτόχρονα είναι πιο brutal από οτιδήποτε έχουμε κυκλοφορήσει μέχρι σήμερα. Θα συνδυάζει την ωμή ένταση του death, black και sludge metal με τα μελωδικά και πειραματικά στοιχεία που εξερευνήσαμε στον προηγούμενο δίσκο μας.
RockOverdose: Μετά από αυτή την περιοδεία, ποιο είναι το επόμενο βήμα για τους In Dakhma;
In Dakhma: Θα χρειαστεί να αφιερώσουμε χρόνο στη δουλειά του στούντιο και στα πλάνα για το νέο άλμπουμ. Θα υπάρχουν κάποιες εμφανίσεις εδώ κι εκεί, αλλά όχι πολλές ημερομηνίες. Ελπίζουμε ότι μετά την κυκλοφορία του δεύτερου άλμπουμ θα ξαναμιλήσουμε για νέα περιοδεία και θα δούμε ακόμα περισσότερους fans στις συναυλίες μας!

Ahead of their upcoming 2026 European tour, RockOverdose caught up with Vedran of In Dakhma to discuss the band’s first major run outside their home country, the evolution of the modern death metal scene, the challenges of today’s music industry, and the new material currently in the works.
In the interview, the band shares its excitement about performing across Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia, talks about its raw old-school live approach, and gives fans a glimpse into a heavier and more experimental future for In Dakhma.
RockOverdose: You're about to hit the road for the 2026 tour—what excites you most about these shows?
In Dakhma: Being fortunate enough to play outside our home country, to play in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia, to represent our metal scene alongside our friends from the band Emberam is a great honour for us and is a dream come true.
RockOverdose: Any cities on this tour you're especially looking forward to playing?
In Dakhma: Honestly, every one of them's great, and it's our first full tour with In Dakhma, and we can't wait. From S8 in Budapest to Varna Live Club to Colosseum Club in Košice, it's going to be a wild ride!
RockOverdose: How would you describe your live performance to someone who hasn't seen you yet?
In Dakhma: Raw and wild! We are old-school when it comes to playing live, no triggers, no metronome. People told us that they have a massive sound and impressive stage presence, so there you go.
RockOverdose: What's been the biggest challenge for the band in recent years?
In Dakhma: The biggest challenge in the music business has been marketing. Figuring out how to get noticed, promote yourself, and find gigs can be tough. Many people overlook this aspect because we often grow up believing that writing the best song is what matters most. While songwriting is important, it's only one part of being in a band.
RockOverdose: How do you think the death metal scene has changed since you started?
In Dakhma: The death metal scene continues to grow, branching into other metal genres and even broader musical styles. Almost every year, two or three new bands emerge that push the genre to new heights of creativity or brutality. For us, that evolution is the most important - staying the same or playing it safe doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of things.
RockOverdose: What can fans expect from your setlist on this tour—any surprises?
In Dakhma: There are some surprises for sure... we really can't give it away hahaha. Come to our show and find out!
RockOverdose: Do you prefer smaller underground venues or bigger festival stages?
In Dakhma: We prefer small underground venues because we feel we can connect with the audience on a more personal level.
RockOverdose: How do you stay creative and avoid repeating yourselves as a band?
In Dakhma: We come up with many ideas, choose the best ones, and then try to take them in new directions.
RockOverdose: Are you currently working on new material?
In Dakhma: Yes, we are. It's going to be teased next year, some material will probably be out, and we are really excited about it.
RockOverdose: If so, what direction is it taking?
In Dakhma: Our new material is heading in a more creative and experimental direction, while also being more brutal than anything we've released before. It will blend the raw intensity of death, black, and sludge metal with the melodic and experimental elements we explored on our previous album.
RockOverdose: After this tour, what's next for In Dakhma?
In Dakhma: We will have to take our sweet time with studio work and on plans for a new album, there will be gigs here and there, but not many dates. Hopefully, after the release of the second album, we will talk again about a new tour and see many more fans at our concerts!
