Chuck Norris never falls, he just attacks the ground! He makes onions cry, he can sit while standing, piss his name into concrete and drown fish. Chuck Norris does not celebrate his birthday either, his birthday celebrates him – as does guitar kamikaze Jen Majura, who pays homage to the action movie legend in her new ENGL playthrough clip "Like Chuck Norris."
The song is taken from her newly released solo album InZENity (available world-wide now) and delivers a sweet 80s Hard Rock tune, armed with a catchy chorus that would even make Mr. Norris smile. Perfect earcandy for the party that waits around the corner! But beware, Chuck Norris likes to throw parties - 200 meters!
About Jen Majura and InZENity
Die German musician Jen Majura covers a lot of ground: She's a singer, guitar player, composer, endorsee und brand ambassador for ENGL, Ibanez, Line6, Richter Guitar Straps, Cordial-Cables and NewRock, but most of all a lovely workaholic. Since 2002, the full-time musician has played in several positions for Rage, Equilibrium, Knorkator and, since 2015, Evanescence.
Now she has released her second solo album InZENity , a varied selection of crazy ideas and melodies showing Jen from all angles: the funny, the loving, the sad and the frantic. Plus, like a magic ribbon holding it all together, there's the appearances of Mathias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Alex Skolnick (Testament), Jan Zehrfeld (Panzerballett) und Nico Schliemann (Glasperlenspiel). In a way, InZENity is like a house for Jen's friends to visit and jam along in.
Since Germany is Jen's second home (after rest of world) and therefore had an early release in late 2017, here's what German media outlets think about InZENity:
InZENity seems like it’s made for the arenas of times past and is, thanks to the modern production that’s just banging away, still made for the present day. Jen Majura is like an enhanced Lita Ford with the dexterity of The Great Kat – just not with her risqué neckline.
Musikreviews.de
InZENity is pleasing with its wild, almost youthfully euphoric atmosphere.
InZENity is entirely Jen Majura – thoughtful at times, sometimes rocking forward, but at the same time always humorous and showing how she has fun performing.
Gitarre & Bass
It has been a long time since I last heard a rock album that came along as witty as InZENity from top to bottom.
Metal Hammer
No song sounds like the other but there is still a very clear handwriting in all of it. This is something not every artist can master – but Jen Majura does this trick with perfection.
Rock It!
