Μία ακόμη προσθήκη έρχεται να συμπληρώσει το billing του φετινού Rethymno Rocks!, με τους Ιταλούς masters του epic heavy/powe metal DOMINE, να προστίθενται στο μέχρι τώρα line up του φεστιβάλ.
Το φεστιβάλ θα διεξαχθεί μεταξύ 29-31 Αυγούστου 2024 στη Φορτέτζα του Ρεθύμνου.

Οι DOMINE για πρώτη φορά στην Κρήτη! Από τα demo years και το θρυλικό “Champion Eternal” μέχρι και σήμερα οι μοναδικοί Domine είναι μια μπάντα με πολύ ισχυρούς δεσμούς με τη χώρα μας, που κρατούν δεκαετίες ολόκληρες. Μετά το πρόσφατο εκπληκτικό live τους στο Into Battle Fest στην Αθήνα, οι Domine επιστρέφουν στην Ελλάδα για ένα show στο Ενετικό Κάστρο της πόλης μας, που αποτελεί ίσως το ιδανικότερο setting για να μας διηγηθούν τις επικές ιστορίες τους και να απολαύσουμε το άψογο setlist τους που περιλαμβάνει κομμάτια από όλη τη θρυλική δισκογραφική τους πορεία. Ο Morby και οι συμπολεμιστές του έρχονται στο RR4 να πολιορκήσουν τη Φορτέτζα και να δείξουν σε όλους πώς οι μύθοι, οι θρύλοι και η φαντασία σε συνδιασμό με την άρτια μουσική κατάρτιση “σφυρηλατούν” παθιασμένο και αληθινό επικό Metal! Italian Epic Heavy/Power Metal masters Domine for the first time in Crete! Since their demo era and the legendary “Champion Eternal” up till today, Domine have always had a strong, unique bond with the Greek fans. After their amazing recent gig at Into Battle Fest in Athens, the band returns to Greece for one show at the Venetian Fortress of Rethymno, an ideal setting for them to unveil their epic tales and perfect setlist which features tracks from their whole celebrated discography. Morby and the warriors are coming to RR4 to storm the Fortezza Castle and demonstrate how myths, legends and imagination are combined with brilliant musicianship in order to “forge” passionate and true epic Metal! Έχουν περάσει πάνω από 10 χρόνια από την τελευταία εμφάνισή τους στο Ρέθυμνο και οι AHERUSIA επιστρέφουν με πλήρως ανανεωμένο αέρα σα μπάντα και ένα εκπληκτικό νέο - πέμπτο - δίσκο με τίτλο "Bacchus ~Epiphanies Of The Crazy God". Μια μπάντα που μουσικά και προσωπικά είχε πάντα δυνατούς δεσμούς με την Κρήτη, πάντα πιστοί στις Folk Metal/Post Black αναζητήσεις τους συνεχίζουν να δημιουργούν ξεχωριστά παγανιστικά, οργιαστικά ηχοτοπία που είναι αδύνατον να μη συνεπάρουν τον θεατή. Ακολουθώντας μουσικούς δρόμους και τρόπους που απαντώνται στην εγγύς Ανατολή και την ελληνική Folk μουσική, με ήχο άρρηκτα συνδεδεμένο με το Pagan Metal και την αισθητική του, οι μοναδικοί AHERUSIA επιστρέφουν στο Ρέθυμνο και θα είναι ένα από τα σημαντικά highlights του φετινού φεστιβάλ. Ανυπομονούμε να τους υποδεχτούμε εντός των τειχών του Κάστρου και να μας ταξιδέψουν σε μυστικιστικούς, εκστατικούς Βακχικούς ρυθμούς!
Let us welcome Athenians AHERUSIA to this year’s festival billing! It has been over 10 years since the band played Rethymno and it was about time for them to return, with a brand new and powerful line-up and an amazing new - fifth -album entitled "Bacchus ~Epiphanies Of The Crazy God". AHERUSIA is a band that has always had strong bonds with the island of Crete. Always loyal to their Folk Metal/Post Black sound, they continue to create unique pagan, orgiastic soundscapes that are bound to enchant every single viewer. Always following musical paths and ways found in the Near East, motifs of Greek folk music and carrying a direct musical connection with Pagan Metal and it’s aesthetics, AHERUSIA finally return to Rethymno and will definitely be one of the highlights of this year’s festival. We are looking forward to welcoming them within the Castle walls and “dive” into their mystical, ecstatic, Bacchic rhythms!
Cosmic Plunge
Οι Ηρακλειώτες Cosmic Plunge επιστρέφουν στο Ρέθυμνο μετά από σχεδόν 10 χρόνια, ολόφρεσκοι, με ανανεωμένη σύνθεση και νέο υλικό! Μετά από δυο υπέροχους και προσεγμένους δίσκους ("Wanderers On The Face Of The Earth" του 2014 και "Dealing With The Harvester" του 2019) οι Cosmic Plunge συνεχίζουν στο βαρύ και ασήκωτο Doom Metal μοτίβο που διατηρούν αναλλοίωτο εδώ και πολλά χρόνια, με κάποιες ανακατατάξεις στη σύνθεση τους και με τον Mike (The Giant's Fall, ex-Lucky Funeral, ex-Bone to Rust) να αναλαμβάνει τα φωνητικά, δίνοντας τη δική του μοναδική πινελιά στο τελικό αποτέλεσμα! Η μπάντα προχωρά στο ίδιο σκοτεινό μονοπάτι που βάδιζε πάντα και λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τον αντίκτυπο από τους δύο ολοκληρωμένους δίσκους και τα νέα δείγματα δουλειάς, έχουν ήδη αρχίσει να κάνουν αίσθηση στην τοπική και global σκηνή. Cosmic Plunge is a Cretan Doom band hailing from the captivating city of Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Established in May 2010, they share a vision for their sound. Drawing from four decades of Rock, especially Doom/Heavy Rock influences, they quickly began creating original music. Prioritizing live performances, they played gigs across Greece. In February 2014, with increased experience, they recorded their debut album "Wanderers On The Face Of The Earth," released in November 2014, containing 7 songs. Their second album, "Dealing With The Harvester," released on March 6th, 2019, has 6 songs. It captures the essence of those facing their doom. Over time, the band underwent changes. In 2022, Mike (The Giant's Fall, ex-Lucky Funeral, ex-Bone to Rust) took over vocals from Dimitris, while Panayotis switched from drums to guitar, and John Tholos became the drummer. Despite these shifts, Cosmic Plunge maintains their dark and evocative style, leaving a lasting impact on local and global Doom Metal scenes. It has been almost 10 years since the band played Rethymno, so let us all plunge into their enchanting cosmic Doom and welcome them @ Rethymno Rocks! Open Air Festival #4!

Οι CRASHDÏET επιστρέφουν στην Ελλάδα μετά από σχεδόν 15 χρόνια! Οι ασυμβίβαστοι Σουηδοί, πάντα φρέσκοι και ετοιμοπόλεμοι, έρχονται για πρώτη φορα στην Κρήτη να μας προσφέρουν απλόχερα σπαρταριστό Sleaze/Metal με κομμάτια από όλη τη δισκογραφία τους και με την μοναδική σκηνική παρουσία που τους χαρακτηρίζει. Με μεγάλη ανυπομονησία για ύμνους όπως τα "Generation Wild" και "Riot in Everyone", μέχρι το υπέρτατο "Automaton" του 2022 και ό,τι νεότερο προκύψει μέχρι τα τέλη Αυγούστου, ετοιμαζόμαστε όλοι πυρετωδως για CRASHDÏET το ερχόμενο καλοκαίρι, μια από τις ξεχωριστές εκπλήξεις του Rethymno Rocks!
