1) Three years have passed since you released "Manifest". Why did you delay this release?
- We released All That You Fear - Death comes...-Pro Patria Finlandia and Manifest in a pretty short period of time. So we kinda figured out it is better to wait a bit longer than usually, otherwise people get sick of us throwing out albums all the time. We basically played shows here and there and did a tour in Canada.
2) Jarno Antilla who is a founding (original) member left the band. Could you tell as the reasons?
- Jarno ANTTILA is not founding member, he joined us in summer 92 when we were rehearsing stuff for our debut album. He was the longest serving member though. He has family, he has a job where he works fucking 18hr shifts. Try to combine that with band that plays shows, rehearses, does albums.
3) You released a new album "Road to Octagon". What is it's concept?
- Octagon here can be seen as Satan or Apocalypse or everything evil. And yet at the same time it is none of above. It is not concept album per se but certain songs run around the concept of the Octagon. It is not a bright vision what we offer here.
4) Could you tell us about the idea of the name of this album?
- It was after some heavy thinking that I said "How about Road To The Octagon". It is taken directly from the song Tentacles Of The Octagon as the song starts with line "road to the octagon is paved with corpses".
5) Listening to the new album I noticed that you have added some new elements. Is there any other differences from your previous albums?
- Erm what? I do not find any new elements, more like that we have taken a few steps back and dropped all bullshit influences away and instead we made brutal, fast and aggressive metal album. During the years we have lost focus and brought in all kinds of unnecessary influences. This time we decided just to make it back to basics without bullshit.
6) What about the lyrics? What was your inspiration?
- I know this is very boring answer but it is daily life. I just have to go to supermarket and I see human scum floating around I wanna just exterminate and destroy. Then I write.
7) I read that you have already recorded your appearance in kuopio. Is it true?
- Yes it is true. We filmed it with 7 cameras and with 5.1 sound. It will be a double-dvd, disk one being the concert and disk two will have lots of shit from the years. We have tons of vhs tapes that we have to go thru and pick up the best pieces. Stuff that nobody has seen.
8) What should we expect for your next live in Greece?
- As it happens to be our 20th anniversary, we have a real special setlist that has songs from the demo days to date. It will be once in a lifetime change to witness us playing shit like this so be there!!!
