First of all I want to thank you very much for accepting my invitation and welcome to Rockoverdose.gr.
1) I was wondering if you have free time for yourself... You are doing a lot of things the latest years.
On tour there’s a lot of down time during the day. When I’m home from tour I get to chill, or work on music or whatever.
2) One reason that I love BLS is that you are still original. Tell me some things about the latest album and your plans for the future.
I love the record. It came out really good. I got to co produce it and mix it so I’m really proud of it. There’s some great rock tunes on it. Crazy horse, Godspeed hellbound and overlord are my favourites. Time waits for no one is my favourite ballad.
3) Well, Cycle Of Pain is your second project and tell me why you decide to make it? You wanted to have more space to offer more music?
Exactly. I love to write and record. Produce my own shit. COP is an outlet for me to do this.
4) So what’s the news for Cycle Of Pain this time? I have to say that I love the album!!
Thanks. Right now I’m on tour with BLS till the end of March. Then we'll start recording some new stuff.
5) You have worked with many many many people. Is there somebody that you haven’t worked yet but you would like it?
There are tons of great musicians out there. I’d love to work with any one of them!!!
6) What’s your opinion about Greece and Greek people? When will we see you on stage here?
I wish we were coming through this time. I’ve never been to Greece and I can’t wait to get there one day!!
7) What type of music is John listening when he is alone at home or something?
Tons of shit!!! Lots of variety. I can go from Sabbath to wu tang clan to Coltrane!!!
8) If you had the power to change one thing in the world what would be this?
There’d be no wars, or American idol shows.
9) You are one of those who spend time at Internet and communicate with people. You think that internet is necessary for bands nowadays?
Definitely. It’s essential nowadays!!

Πρώτα απ’όλα θα ήθελα να σε ευχαριστήσω που δέχτηκες την πρόταση μου και καλώς ήλθες στο Rockoverdose.gr.
1) Αναρωτιόμουν αν έχεις καθόλου ελεύθερο χρόνο για τον εαυτό σου? Ασχολείσαι με πολλά πράγματα τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Όταν είμαι σε περιοδεία υπάρχει ελεύθερος χρόνος κατά τη διάρκεια της μέρας. Όταν είμαι σπίτι προτιμώ να χαλαρώνω, να φτιάχνω μουσική η οτιδήποτε άλλο.
2) Ένας λόγος που αγαπώ τους BLS είναι γιατί έχουν παραμείνει αυθεντικοί. Πες μου μερικά πράγματα για το τελευταίο album και τα σχέδια σας για το μέλλον.
Αγαπώ αυτόν το δίσκο. Βγήκε πολύ καλός. Ανέλαβα τη παραγωγή και τη μείξη του και είμαι πολύ περήφανος για αυτό. Υπάρχουν υπέροχοι rock ήχοι μέσα σε αυτό. “Crazy Horse”,”Godspeed hellbound” και “overlord” είναι τα αγαπημένα μου. Το “Time Can Waits For No One” είναι η αγαπημένη μου μπαλάντα.
3) Οι Cycle Of Pain λοιπόν είναι το δεύτερο σου project. Πως αποφάσισες να το δημιουργήσεις? Ήθελες περισσότερο χώρο να προσφέρεις μουσική?
Ακριβώς. Μου αρέσει να γράφω και να ηχογραφώ. Ρroduce my own shit. Οι Cycle Of Pain είναι μια διέξοδος για μένα ώστε να το κάνω αυτό.
4) Σε τι φάση είστε τώρα με τους Cycle Of Pain? Έχω να πω ότι το λάτρεψα το album.
Σε ευχαριστώ. Αυτή τη στιγμή είμαστε σε tour με τους Black Label Society μέχρι και τέλη Μαρτίου. Μετά θα αρχίσουμε να ηχογραφούμε καινούριο υλικό.
5) Έχεις δουλέψει με πάρα πολύ κόσμο. Υπάρχει όμως κάποιος που δεν το έχεις κάνει ακόμα αλλά θα ήθελες?
Υπάρχουν άπειροι σπουδαίοι μουσικοί εκεί έξω. Λατρεύω να δουλεύω με οποιονδήποτε από αυτούς.
6) Ποια είναι η γνώμη σου για την Ελλάδα και τους Έλληνες γενικά? Πότε θα σας δούμε στα μέρη μας?
Ελπίζω να έρθουμε αυτή τη φορά. Δεν έχω έρθει ποτέ στην Ελλάδα και ανυπομονώ να έρθω κάποια μέρα.
7) Τι μουσική ακούει ο John όταν είναι μόνος στο σπίτι?
Τons of shit!!! Μεγάλη ποικιλία. Μπορώ να πάω από sabbath σε wu tang clan και από εκεί σε coltrane!!!
8) Αν είχες τη δύναμη να αλλάξεις ένα πράγμα στον κόσμο ποιο θα ήταν αυτό?
Να μην έχουμε πολέμους η american idol shows.
9) Είσαι ένας από αυτούς που ξοδεύουν χρόνο στο Internet επικοινωνώντας με τον κόσμο. Νομίζεις ότι το Internet είναι απαραίτητο για τις μπάντες στις μέρες μας?
Απολύτως. Είναι απαραίτητο στις μέρες μας!
