Rockoverdose: Hello from Greece! Tell us about John Steel band. When does it start and how?
Greetings from Bulgaria!
First of all we would like to thank you for the invitation to play at Rosewood Festival! It's great honour for us!
So about John Steel , we start in 2007 as instrumental band only, we played guitar covers, some instrumentals of Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai e.t.c. The name came up very interesting, our guitar player Ivan Stalev, has some artistic pseudonym John Steel, which was his name translated into English! We decide to put the same name to the band! After 3 months of gigs arround the clubs in Bulgaria, we found out that it will be more interestnig if we find a vocal and start doing heavy metal, not only instrumental music!
Rockoverdose: How is your music like and why did you decide to play this kind of music ?
Our music is simply classic heavy metal and Hard Rock, we decided to play this kind of music because it's our favourite style!
We just love to play Iron Maiden covers
Rockoverdose: Have you released any of your work? (Full Length, EP,LP ,Demo , etc)
We just hurry to finish our first EP and we really really hope that it will be ready for Rosewood Festival! Of course we will play all the songs from our first EP on Rosewood
Rockoverdose: How is the music factory in Bulgaria? Is it easy or not to start a band and work for it?
It is almost everywhere in the world, if you have the perfect people to do music with, it is easy! After that everything else is really hard rehearsals and good PR and management! And ofcourse you need to write good songs!
Rockoverdose: What does the live shows mean to you?
Oh, it's explosion of feelings and adrenalin, simply it is 100% devotion to the stage and devotion to the people who wants to hear you!
Rockoverdose: Have you ever been before to Greece before the challenge to play at Rosewood Festival?
Yes we've been one time last year, we played one show with Madrake in Thessaloniki, it was really amazing gig, we love the Greek audience, we hope that they liked us!
Rockoverdose: What should the Greek people wait from John Steel on stage?
We will see on 18 of March!
