We are very happy to present you the interview that Rob Cavestany, from DEATH ANGEL, gave to Zisis Petkanas! Rob talked about many issues, like the band's new album, their cooperation with Andreas Kisser and their upcoming tour!

What about the feedback from the fans and the press?

Oh, the feedback is amazing! We are very excited and everyone seems to be really excited about our new record.  The fans really like it and the reviews are just awesome so far. They keep telling us that it’s one of our best albums and we are very excited to hear it!

What made you choose “The Moth” to be the single of the new album?

“The Moth” was the first single and you know, it was very catchy and powerful and it’s one of our favorite and as it was the opening track of the album, we thought that it would be a good introduction of the new album.

How would you characterize your new album with one word?

One word? Oh, it’s very difficult but with one word I think that I would characterize it “thrashy”.

What about your collaboration with Andreas Kisser?

We are friends for a long time and we were on tour and we like Sepultura so I asked him if he wanted to join us for a song. He was excited about the idea and we have a lot of respect for each other’s music so he accepted the offer.

Looking back at your first gigs in Bay Area, you were actually kids. What are some of the feelings that come up when you realize how far Death Angel has come during the years?

Well, it’s exciting you know, to see that you are so many years in the scene and to have so many fans during the years. It’s like a joke, something you couldn’t imagine. It’s awesome. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

So, you have to feel very proud for all that you have done with the band.

Yeah, very proud and happy at the same time. I made many sacrifices to achieve that. You know, music can change your life.

Are there any news that you would like to reveal through this interview?

Well, we have a tour for the people in North America with Slayer and Anthrax this fall and we will come in Europe next year and we really hope to see you there.

How many possibilities are there to see you in Greece?

There are many! Greece is amazing, we love the people there and we really want to visit your country. We will definitely come there to this wonderful country with the wonderful people.

Would you like to leave a message to the Greek fans?

Thank you for supporting Death Angel. I hope you like our new record. We can’t wait to see you. Thank you for supporting us. We love you!
