Το Rockoverdose.gr και ο Yngve ταξιδεύουν στην Κύπρο και ανακρίνουν τον τραγουδιστή των Under The Number, Roman, σχετικά με τα μελλοντικά σχέδια της μπάντας.

1. Για αρχή δώσε μας ένα βιογραφικό της μπάντας ώστε να σας μάθουν όσοι δεν σας ξέρουν ακόμα.
Η μπάντα δημιουργήθηκε το 2008. Τα αρχικά μέλη ήταν οι Κώστας Ιωάννου, Άνδρος Κόκκινος και Σάββας Χαραλάμπους. Υπήρξαν πολλές αλλαγές ψάχνοντας την κατάλληλη φόρμουλα. Το πρώτο μας άλμπουμ ήταν κυρίως ένα κλασσικό metal άλμπουμ, αλλά με την άφιξή μου κινηθήκαμε περισσότερο με πιο alternative και πιο nu metal επιρροές.
2. Έχετε κυκλοφορήσει ένα ΕΡ και ένα full length άλμπουμ. Πώς τα δέχτηκε ο κόσμος και ποιες είναι οι αντιδράσεις μέχρι στιγμής;
Αρχικά κυκλοφορήσαμε ένα αμιξάριστο κομμάτι του άλμπουμ στο youtube, ώστε να δούμε πως θα αντιδράσει ο κόσμος, από το οποίο είχαμε περίπου 1000 προβολές μέσα σε ένα μήνα. Αργότερα ανεβάσαμε κι ένα δεύτερο και πήγε εξίσου καλά. Με το που βγήκε το CD, κάναμε κάποιες συναυλίες μαζί με την επίσημη παρουσίαση και όλα οι ανταποκρίσεις μέχρι στιγμής είναι πολύ καλές.
3. Ποιές είναι οι επιρροές μέσα στη μπάντα;
Όλα τα μέλη της μπάντας έχουν διαφορετικές επιρροές. Άλλοι είναι στο heavy metal, άλλοι στο κλασσικό ροκ και άλλοι στο alternative. Σαν σύνολο, μας αρέσουν μπάντες από Three Days Grace μέχρι Led Zeppelin.
4. Κάνατε μια μίνι περιοδεία σαν support στον Paul DiAnno. Πες μας για την εμπειρία να παίζεις μαζί με ένα ιερό τέρας του heavy metal!
Αυτό ήταν πριν μπω εγώ στη μπάντα, αλλά απ’ότι μου είπαν ήταν απίστευτο.
5. Πρόκειται να παίξετε μαζί με Arch Enemy και Spiritual Beggars. Ποια είναι τα συναισθήματα σας και οι σκέψεις σας γι’αυτή τη συναυλία;
Περιμένουμε πως και πως να παίξουμε με αυτές τις 2 μπάντες. Είμαστε όλοι οπαδοί και τι παραπάνω να θέλεις όταν μοιράζεσαι τη σκηνή με μπάντες που λατρεύεις;
6. Έχετε κάποια μελλοντικά σχέδια για τη μπάντα; Πρόκειται να κυκλοφορήσετε κάτι ή να κάνετε κάποιες συναυλίες;
Έχουμε κάνει ήδη κάποιες συναυλίες, όπως την World Music Day με τους φίλους μας Quadrophonics και Cold Shot. Μετά παίξαμε σε μια φιαλνθρωπική συναυλία για λογαριασμό της Κιβωτού για άτομα με ειδικές ανάγκες και μερικές ακόμα στην Πάφο. Μετά το Metalmorphosis, σχεδιάζουμε να παίζουμε στην Λεμεσσό, Λάρνακα και Νικοσία. Επίσης μας έχουν καλέσει σε κάποια φεστιβάλ αλλά αυτό δεν είναι επιβεβαιωμένο ακόμα. Σε ότι έχει να κάνει με τη μουσική, έχουμε έτοιμα κάποια ριφς αλλά θα τα αφήσουμε να ωριμάσουν λίγο πριν μπούμε στο στούντιο ξανά.
7. Πώς είναι να παίζεις metal στην Κύπρο; Υπάρχουν μπάντες για να υποστηρίζουν η μια την άλλη ή περιμένετε μπάντες του εξωτερικού για να παίξετε σαν support;
Νομίζω ότι είμαστε σε μια φάση αλλαγής. Όλο και περισσότερες μπάντες βγαίνουν στο προσκήνιο αλλά είναι δυκτίωσης και αλληλουποστήριξης. Το να παίζουμε με μεγάλες μπάντες είναι σίγουρα ένα συν.
8. Δώσε μας μερικά ονόματα με τα οποία θέλεις να παίξεις μαζί τους.
Αυτό είναι λίγο δύσκολο, γιατί είναι πάρα πολλές μπάντες που λατρεύουμε. Θα έλεγα με τους Three Days Grace, τον Ozzy Osbourne (απλά επειδή είναι θρύλος) και τον Seether… Φυσικά υπάρχουν πολλοί ακόμα.
9. Τι κυκλοφορεί στο mp3 σου αυτές τις μέρες; Υπάρχουν νέα άλμπουμ που σου τράβηξαν την προσοχή;
Έχω κολλήσει με Stone Sour εδώ και κάποιες μέρες όπως και με Seether, KoRn, Disturbed και Godsmack.

1. First of all, give us a small bio of the band so everyone can know who you are.
Well our band was formed in 2008, the original founders where Kostas Ioannou, Andros Kokkinos and Savvas Charalambous. The band went through quite a few changes looking for the right formula. Our first album was pretty much a classic metal album but with my arrival we moved to alternative rock with some nu metal influence.
2. You have released an EP and a full length album. How did the world receive those releases and what"s the feedback up to now?
We initially posted an un-mastered song of the album on youtube to see how people react and got about a 1000 hits within a month. Then we posted a second one that did equally well. Once the CD was released we started playing some gigs including the official presentation and all the feed back we had so far was very good.
3. What are the influences that flow through the band?
All the band members have very different influences. Some are into heavy metal, others are into the classic rock scene and others are into alternative rock. Throughout our members we like bands from Three Days Grace to Led Zeppelin.
4. You made a mini tour supporting Paul DiAnno and his band. Tell us about the experience of playing with a metal monster!
That was before I joined the band, but of what the other guys told me it was pretty amazing.
5. You are going to play with Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggars. What are you feelings and thoughts about that concert?
We are absolutely looking forward to playing with these two awesome bands, we are all fans and what more can you want than sharing a stage with the bands you love?
6. Do you have any future plans for the band? Are you going to release something new or do some gigs?
Well we already played quite a few gigs including the World Music day with our friends Quadraphonics and Cold Shot, then we had a charity gig for the Kivotos center for kids with special needs, plus a couple of other gigs that got booked in Paphos. After Metalmorphosis we are planning to play some gigs in Limassol, Larnaka and Nicosia. We have also been invited to some other music festivals but that’s not confirmed yet. In regards to music, we already have some riffs and tunes lined up but we will let them mature before we go in to the studio again.
7. How is it to play heavy metal in Cyprus? Do you have enough bands to support each other or you must wait for foreign bands to play a gig as a support act?
I think we are at a time of change. More and more good bands come out and more and more people listen to original stuff. I think there are enough bands, it"s all a matter of networking and supporting each other. Supporting big bands is a great bonus.
8. Give us a few band names that you really want to play with.
Well that’s a tough one, simply because there are so many bands we love. I would say Three Days Grace, Ozzy Osbourne (simply because he is a legend) and Seether... There are many more of course.
9. What is occupying your mp3 player these days? Are there any new albums that caught your attention?
I have been stuck on Stone Sour for the last couple of days, but there is some Seether, KoRn, Disturbed and Godsmack.
